About the client:
Whop helps you to build communities around your brand/product, and you can use it as a payment processor. The company has raised $24M+ in funding from investors like a16z and Founders Fund. As of 2025, Whop is operating at around $30–40M+ GMV per month. The team remains lean, sitting at roughly 40–50 employees.
Whop has probably one of the coolest offices in the whole world, and I’m working there whenever I’m back in NYC. It’s right at the Domino Sugar building in Williamsburg.
Whop team is extremely young, which makes the brainstorming crazier and the speed of work more intense (in a good way). We were working directly with Cameron (co-founder) and improving the whole UX of the app.
Summary:
We were able to update the discover page, basically the first thing every user sees after going to Whop.com. We’ve created a flow for finance onboarding. We’ve explored a few ideas on how to integrate AI into the community-building onboarding. And we’ve also created internal/external store pages, basically, whenever someone wants to sign up for a Whop community or buy a product, they see what we’ve designed.
We’ve spent 2 months working together, and it was a fun experience. Right now, we’re discussing helping them with all the future launch videos
